2012 Tournament

June 29

The First Tee North Puget Sound

We believe golf is the best "classroom" for developing personal success skills.

These skills are: interpersonal relations, goal setting, self management and resiliency.

These four "Life Skills" are delivered to participants in a seamless way of coaching

that encourages exploration and self-discovery.   Developing the four skills will help students face challenges at home, school, and at play in a constructive manner. The other inherent values of golf; etiquette expectations, rules dependant on self-responsibility, and the physical and mental challenges also makes golf a unique environment for personal development.

We also believe that golf is fun; and should be coached in a fun, active way.

The First Tee® programs provide a unique, seamless integration of a character

development curriculum (containing 9 important values) which is delivered with quality golf skills instruction.  Our teaching philosophy is to always keep our program active, affordable, fun, safe, and meaningful.

Our program is offered through Affiliate  Sites in Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom,

Island, and Clallam Counties.

Our The First Tee Chapter has five layers of service:

  1. Certification Classes ( Life Skill Curriculum)
  2. Camps and Clinics (skill development)
  3. Competitive Teams (playing other juniors in our network)
  4. Coaching (personal and small group)
  5. Community Outreach  (schools, youth groups, corporate team training, etc.)
