The First Tee North Puget Sound
Young people do not automatically act with integrity or demonstrate sportsmanship. Integrating these "values" are often a by-product of a series of processes that evolve from individuals' experiences.
The First Tee® programs provide a unique, seamless integration of a character development curriculum (containing 9 important life skills) which is delivered with quality golf skills instruction. Our teaching philosophy is to always keep our program active, fun, safe, and meaningful.
Our primary program training sites are the Lynnwood Golf Course (located on the campus of Edmonds Community College) and six other affiliate sites in Snohomish, Skagit, and Whatcom Counties.
Our First Tee programs have four layers of service:
The First Tee Life Skills Classes These classes offer our progressive curriculum through 5 levels of certification:
Classes are one day per week during the Spring, Summer, and Fall sessions. Class sizes are limited to 8-16 students depending on class level. Our certified students also enjoy free golf privileges at our local Affiliate golf courses. The 2009 registration fee is $100 per session.
The First Tee Golf Camps Camps are scheduled throughout the summer as 4 day sessions for 2 hours a day. 2009 rate is $100. Camp size is limited to 16 students.
